About Me

I love photographing people, especially at memorable events.  My goal as your photographer is to capture the details and emotions so your special day will be well-remembered for years to come.

Frequently Asked Questions

"What kind of equipment will you use?"

I use only Canon Digital Single-Lens Reflex (SLR) equipment.  My primary camera is a Canon EOS 30D, and my backup camera is a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT.  I currently use two primary lenses of varying focal lengths, an additional external flash for low-lighting situations, and a UV filter to maximize your outdoor photos.

"Will you meet with me before the wedding day?"

Absolutely!  I would love to meet you before the day of the wedding to discuss your day and make sure I am aware of any specific details you would like to capture.  Though some couples may not wish to meet beforehand (this is fine too), I appreciate and understand the desire for a meeting beforehand, to make sure our styles fit well together to maintain a positive client-photographer relationship.  By understanding your expectations, I can strive to achieve exactly what you are looking for in your photos.

"Your packages include a high-resolution CD with copyright release.  What exactly does that mean?"

I recognize that many brides today are very independent and enjoy creating their own albums and scrapbooks.  Many traditional wedding photographers do not allow clients to have access to the negatives or digital images for their own printing and album creation.  This can result in an expensive album package, depending on the size and quality of the album.  I sincerely believe that all wedding couples should have access to beautiful albums, regardless of their budget.  Therefore, I will provide to you a copy of all your digital images on a CD/DVD so you can create your own scrapbooks, albums, and prints online or at your local photo shop.  I will retain the copyrights to the images for portfolio and marketing purposes.  This means that clients are allowed to distribute images to family and friends but may not sell the images or claim as their own work.

"I would prefer a professional album that the photographer designs.  Why is specific pricing for this not available on your price list?"

There is an array of album types in varying sizes, styles, and quality available in today's market, causing a huge price variance between the different options.  I want to understand which style and size you prefer before quoting a price.  I will openly share all of your options so you can make an informed decision.  I will use various vendors for these albums (I design the albums, then order them through vendors for printing / binding) and will charge based on the vendors' prices plus a set fee for my time.  In any event, I will always ensure that the client understands the charges and agrees to them BEFORE finalizing any order for these items.  There will not be any surprise costs after the albums are ordered.
